We recognize your character
When awarding scholarships each June, the Foundation strives to recognize character in the awardees. A lifetime in formation, character is influenced by our environment; formed by beliefs and behaviors; and, molded by the choices we make. The Foundation Board gains a sense of our scholarship candidates’ character through service to others, personal commitment, overcoming adversity and the impressions of the people who write about them in their nomination submittals. Students’ applications present examples of courage, honesty, and commitment to something greater than themselves. We hope to encourage all of the students to look for what is deep and important in life in the written portion of their applications.
